Dr. Mac Adkins

Dr. Mac Adkins is the Founder and Chief Academic Officer of SmarterServices. Since 2002 he has led the company as it has grown to serve over six million students and twelve thousand faculty from over five hundred educational institutions. He served as a higher education leader for over twenty-five years and served as a Director/Dean of Distance Education for ten of those years. Dr. Adkins received his Doctor of Education degree from Auburn University in 1998. His major for the degree was Educational Leadership with a minor in Instructional Technology. He participated in an executive education program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a frequent speaker at educational conferences and serves on the review board for the Online Journal of Distance Learning Administration.
Dr. Omid Fotuhi
Director, College Innovation Network @Western Governors University (WGU)
Dr. Omid Fotuhi currently serves as the Director of Learning and Innovation at WGU Labs, as well as a visiting research associate at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Fotuhi’s research focuses on the psychology of performance and motivation in the domains of academics, athletics, and workplace achievement — insights which he translates into actionable strategies for practitioners and individuals.
